<metadataxml><content><line>&lt;p&gt;Wenceslaus Cejka was born December 1, 1805 in house # 13 in Chotina&amp;#39; the son of Wenceslaus Cejka and his third wife, Anna Aul.&amp;nbsp; Wenceslaus had at least 8 half brothers and sisters (Catherine, Barbora, Catherine II, Charles, Anna Maria, Mathew, Veronika and Anna from his father&amp;#39;s first two wives. &amp;nbsp;Wenceslaus was a soldier, then the farm-labourer in Jarov, and then later a cottager in house # 29 in Chotina&amp;#39;.&amp;nbsp; he married Mary Havlik (born 1802 and died December 10, 1860 in Chotina #29)&amp;nbsp; on January 22, 1828.&amp;nbsp; She was the daughter of John Havlik a farm-labourer in Horni Hradiste house # 10 and his wife Rosalia nee Liska (or Kapsa?) from Borek house # 5.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bridegroom Vaclav (Wenceslaus) son of Vaclav (Wenceslaus) Cejka cottager in Chotina&amp;#39;, farm-labourer, and of mother Anna Nee Aulova from Plana&amp;quot; # 3 , catholic 22 years, single &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bride Marie (mary) daugher of Jan (John) Havlik, farm-labourer from Hor. Hradiste&amp;#39; and of mother Rosalia Nee Liskova from Borek # 5, catholic 26, single&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Witnessess of marriage: Martin Hach, farmer and Vaclav Busek, small-farmer in Jarov.&amp;nbsp; Marriage took place in house number 13 in Jarov.&amp;nbsp; With agreement of bridegroom&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp;father and for bride from the Baliff guardian (continues in Latin) married after three banns, no problems found. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Their five children&amp;nbsp; Matthew, Wenceslaus, Frank, Barbara and Anna were born in Jarov, West Bohemia.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Their children:&amp;nbsp;Matthew, Frank and Barbara died young.&amp;nbsp; Frank drowned in 1846 at age 14. &amp;nbsp;Their son&amp;nbsp;Wenceslaus married Josephine Seidl and left Czech republic in 1868 and moved to Hillsboro, Wisconsin area&amp;nbsp; and&amp;nbsp; their daughter Anna married Josef Sinkule.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Anna and Josef Sinkule moved to Nebraska in 1859.&amp;nbsp; Their son was a famous musician and band leader in Nebraska. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Mary Havlik Cejka died dec 10, 1860 in house # 29 in Chotina&amp;#39; &amp;nbsp;and was buried Dec 12, 1860. She was a catholic age 56 and died of weakness of age.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp; As a widower Wenceslaus married a second time to Rosalia Beber (1825 to Feb 2, 1884). Rosalia was the daughter of George Beber a miner in Chotina&amp;#39; #12 and Mary nee Pesek from Koryta # 16 on November 8, 1864.&amp;nbsp; Wenceslaus was a widower and lived at house # 13 in Chotina&amp;#39;.&amp;nbsp; Bride was Rosalia Bebrova daughter of Jiri (George) Beber a miner from Chotina # 12 and of Marie (Mary) nee Jezek (Pesek) from Koryta # 10 , Rosalia was a catholic age 39 and single.&amp;nbsp; The witnesses were Josef Sinkule, carpenter from Nadryby and Wenzl Sejka, miner.&amp;nbsp; Josef Sinkule would be brother-in-law to Wenceslaus Cejka and Wenzl Sejka was probably a 1st cousin to Wenceslaus Cejka.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Wenceslaus and Rosalia&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp; only son Frank died soon after birth, and then Rosalia died of cancer on Feberuary 2, 1884.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Wenceslaus emigrated to the United states to live with his son Wenceslaus soon after the death of his 2nd wife, Rosalia.&amp;nbsp; Wenceslaus died near Dilly (town of Hillsboro at the Ted and Tillie Urban farm,&amp;nbsp;Vernon County Wisconsin in 1890 at 85 years of age.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A tip from Nancy Brome (John Cejka) &amp;nbsp;about his&amp;nbsp; ship records are the source of his hometown in Chotina, West Bohemia.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; This lead Marlys Lee (Joseph Cejka) and Richard Kilmer (Anton Cejka) to hire&amp;nbsp; Hana Skockova Psohlavcu 19&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 147 00 Praha 4&amp;nbsp; Czech Republic&amp;nbsp; quirin@quick.cz or quirin@o2active.cz&amp;nbsp; to research this family in the fall of 2011.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Richard Kilmer&amp;nbsp; rrkilmer@wisc.edu&amp;nbsp; July 2012&lt;/p&gt;</line></content></metadataxml>
