J. Fanta, 67, of 831 North Eighth street died Sunday evening at the home, following a several weeks illness.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; min-height: 13px; margin: 0px"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; margin: 0px"&gt;Mrs. Fanta, nee Alvina Krainik was born in this city in 1880 and after her graduation from high school was employed as a clerk in the post office and was the first postal savings clerk in the state.&amp;nbsp; She was employed in the post office 17 years.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; min-height: 13px; margin: 0px"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; margin: 0px"&gt;In 1917 she was married to Mr. Fanta. An active member of the Eastern Star, she served as its matron in 1923, the first year the organization met in the new Masonic Temple. She was a member of the Federation of Women&amp;#39;s clubs.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; min-height: 13px; margin: 0px"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; margin: 0px"&gt;Surviving are her husband; three brothers, John and Charles of this city and Emil of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. A. J, Chermak and Mrs. Henry Wilda of is city.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; min-height: 13px; margin: 0px"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p style="font: normal normal normal 11px/normal 'lucida grande'; margin: 0px"&gt;Private funeral services, conducted by a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fanta home.&amp;nbsp; Friends are asked to omit flowers. The body will be moved to the home Tuesday afternoon from the Frazier Mortuary.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</line></content></metadataxml>
