<metadataxml><content><line>Alvin REEDLE Obit taken from the Stevens Point Daily Journal, 23 Dec 1949&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Obituary, Alvin REEDLE&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Alvin REEDLE, 60, a resident of the Town of Sherry, Wood County, died at 4am today at St Joseph&amp;#39;s Hospital, Marshfield. He had been ill for about one month.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mr REEDLE was born at Hillsboro, Vernon County, on July 26, 1889, a son of Martin and Mary REEDLE. He lived at Hillsboro until 1889, when the family moved to Sherry, where Mr REEDLE had resided since. He had never married.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Surviving are four brothers, Thomas of Milladore, Theodore of Altoona, WI, William of Vesper and Cyril of Racine, and four sisters, Mrs Tillie WHITSON, Grove City, PA; Mrs. Frank JADACK, Milladore; Mrs William JADACK, Junction City, and Miss Emma REEDLE, Ripon. A brother, Robert, died in 1907 and a sister, Mrs. Carrie KRUBSACK, died in 1929.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;A veteran of World War I, Mr REEDLE was a member of the Furo-Heinen post, American Legion, at Junction City. He entered military service on July 23, 1918, and was discharged in March, 1919. He served for six months in France with the 332nd field artillery, 86th division.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The body is at the Martens funeral home, Junction City, where it will remain until time for the funeral. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev W L BENNETT, Mosinee, officiating.
