Died at age 97, on August 8, 2003, peacefully in her sleep at Park Manor Health Care Center, Milwaukee. She is survived by the descendants of her brothers and sisters who preceded her; Frank Liska, Edwin Liska, William F. Liska, Robert Liska, Charles Liska, Arnie Liska, Lucy Schaller, Emma Kiley, Anna Geiger, Clara McQueen, Mary Handsbery and Mathilda Liska. Local Milwaukee descendants of Robert Liska and Lillian Liska Strassman are William R. Liska and children. Elsie was past president of Wisconsin Cosmetologist Association, Cudworth Post Auxiliary and an ardent Republican. She was a founding member of Lakeshore Community Church where she dedicated much of her retired life to. Her smile, kind words, and shining Christ Light will always be remembered by us. Memorial Service with Pastor Allen Bowen on Thursday, August 14, 2003, at 4PM (visitation 3PM) at Lakeshore Community Church, 1820 East North Avenue, Milwaukee. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI. She had requested that instead of flowers, you donate to a meaningful charity of your choice.
